Hawk Family Dental Care places the health and safety of our patients, dental team and families as our top priority. Therefore, in compliance with recommendations from the Ohio State Dental Board, the Ohio Dental Association,  the American Dental Association and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine we will be limiting our normal business hours and focusing on treating only those patients experiencing dental emergencies. We are postponing all elective treatment until further notice. If you are a patient of record and experiencing a dental emergency you may still call our office at 330-343-5221. We will continue to monitor the ongoing developments of the COVID-19 pandemic and will make adjustments as necessary. We thank you for your understanding and patience during this unprecedented time.

We understand that members of the public may have questions about whether they should seek dental care during the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore have provided some examples of dental emergencies. These examples include:

• Bleeding that doesn’t stop

• Painful swelling in or around your mouth

• Pain in a tooth, teeth or jaw bone

• Gum infection with pain or swelling

• After surgery treatment (dressing change, stitch removal)

• Broken or knocked out tooth

• Biopsy of abnormal tissue

The following are examples of things that should be postponed until further notice:

• Regular visits for exams, cleanings, and x-rays

• Removal of teeth that aren’t painful

• Treatment of cavities that aren’t painful

• Tooth whitening
